LO3(U20): Be able to produce the planned media components
Billboard advert
The Billboard advert that we made has lots of important colours so that it would draw attention from the audience. It has a simple layout so that it is visible to see what advert it is. We have placed social media at the bottom to get people to have more awareness of it as well as it has the price so that they can have more information about the product.
Magazine advert
The magazine advert is very simpler to the billboard poster as it has all the same colours also to attract the target audience but the main picture is a bit different by having it pour the drink. There is a QR code on the magazine poster this is because people might want to find more about the drink online so they can scan it to get more information. It also features as a hashtag so that more people can notice it on social media.
Video advert
The video advert is a comedy hitting both the target audience due to its retro theme and the characters in it being teenagers. From doing this it means that we have appealed to both primary and secondary audiences from the video meaning more people will notice it. The retro theme is through when one of the boys drinks the product and goes to the past seeing stars and his friends wearing waving clothes. As well as featuring the posters in the video making it all link together.
Audience feedback:
We also got audience feedback to see if the audience from the target audience. This was done to make sure that we got an understanding of it the adverts we created were effective.
M3(U20): Create production material that follows the codes and conventions of the chosen genre for the media product.
The codes and conventions that we considered when making the materials was making sure that we hit all the client requirements from the brief this was because we had to make sure that it hit that retro genre, hitting both primary and secondary audience, only to be sold in a can as well as making sure that we push the strawberry laces flavour of the drink. All of these were shown through the imagery from the print adverts and all designs as well as through the video advert. The way he made sure that the product was only shown in the can through all the adverts as well as making sure that all the ads have some sort of 80s feel to it giving the retro feel for the target audience and the brief.
